Managing director of Engineering Coastal and Ports Department affiliated to the Shipping Lines and Ports Organization said that through execution of a comprehensive plan the capacity of the commercial ports in the country would increased up to 160m tons per year, IRNA reported.

On the sidelines of the ports comprehensive plan training course held in Zibakenar, Alireza Kebriyaee told IRNA reporter, “At present, some 50 mln tons of cargo is shipped via 13 trading port cities annually.”
