A state of the industry blueprint for the Middle East’s marine sector is to be thrashed out this week as the region’s maritime business comes under the global spotlight at Seatrade Middle East Maritime (SMEM) starting tomorrow (December 4).

As SMEM readies for its biggest-ever showing – SMEM 2006 is a third larger than the 2004 event – it has emerged among the world’s top 10 maritime forums and the second fastest-growing after Marintec in China.
