Fishing quota deal ‘good for UK’

The EU’s fish quota deal – which includes cuts to the UK’s cod catches – represents “a good deal”, the government has said. Cod quotas will decrease by between 14% and 20% next year, with the number of days allowed for fishing also reduced. But permitted prawn, haddock, mackerel and monkfish catches
