Aker Kvaerner has been awarded a major contract by Northumbrian Water to provide the process requirements for the latest improvement scheme at the Bran Sands Effluent Treatment Centre. The award-winning Centre, at Teesport, treats domestic sewage together with the waste from several industrial processes from the surrounding area. The improvement scheme will partition part of the process to provide bespoke treatment solutions for two industrial waste streams.
