Yantai Raffles Shipyard Limited (“YRS”) is pleased to announce the successful skidding and floating off of the ‘Yacht Express’ at its yard in Yantai, Shandong, China. The ‘Yacht Express’ weighing 15,000 metric tons is the heaviest vessel to be built on land and skidded onto launching barges in China

Yantai Raffles Shipyard Limited (“YRS”) is pleased to announce the successful skidding and floating off of the ‘Yacht Express’ at its yard in Yantai, Shandong, China. The ‘Yacht Express’ weighing 15,000 metric tons is the heaviest vessel to be built on land and skidded onto launching barges in China. It brings together a total of 45 Skid-Offs for YRS over a period of 10 years. YRS typically build all its vessels on land and skid them onto launching barges. This method of launching provides YRS the ability to build a variety of vessels.
