On February 3rd the keel was laid for the first of four Damen ASD Tugs 2411 by Song Thu Shipyard in Vietnam. These four tugs were ordered by Damen Shipyards Gorinchem and will be delivered in 2008. The ASD 2411 is one of the most successful ASD tugs with more than 25 delivered and under construction in merely three years. The tugs will be equipped with Caterpillar 3516 engines and Rolls Royce thrusters and will deliver 70 tonnes bollard pull.
