On January 30th a building contract was signed between Damen Shipyards Gorinchem and Centre Port Wellington (New Zealand) for one Damen ASD Tug 2411 with 70 tonnes bollard pull. This historical contract was signed by Ms Liz Ward, CEO of Centre Port Wellington, and Mr Pim Schuurman, Sales Director Asia Pacific of Damen Shipyards Gorinchem, and represents the second Damen ASD contract for New Zealand. The tug is currently under construction in Vietnam and will be delivered in March 2008.
