Australian shipbuilder Austal, which also manufactures superyachts, has bought the shipyard facilities of North West Bay Ships at Margate, Tasmania.

According to an article in Tasmanian newspaper Mercury, the Henderson, Western Australia-headquartered shipbuilder said the purchase aimed to boost its skilled workforce, and it plans to expand employment at the new site.
