With the arrival of the America’s Cup all that has changed and young families and old couples regularly crowd the port area to watch the yacht racing or simply lap up the glitz and glamour of the new harbour and all the bars that have sprung up. Valencia has spent about 500 million euros ($NZ927 million) euros ($675 million) on the America’s Cup port, building a new harbour complete with superyacht moorings and faster access to the sea.
