Statoil has concluded the drilling of an appraisal well in the Snøhvit field in the Barents Sea. The well was drilled to map the recoverable oil reserves in the field. Statoil has concluded the drilling of an appraisal well in the Snøhvit field in the Barents Sea. The well was drilled to map the recoverable oil reserves in the field.

The appraisal well 7120/6-2 in production licence 097 was drilled to a depth of 3,120 metres below the seabed and finished in late Triassic rocks. Water depth in the area is 321 metres.
