Sdn Bhd hopes that with the revival of double-tracking project, parallel measures be initiated to expand rail terminal handling capacity linking its container terminal to the national grid.
“Double-tracking rail link to Northport will expand rail terminal handling capacity at the port and help draw cargo traffic from an extended hinterland, including from the proposed Northern Development Corridor as well as Thailand,” its managing director/chief executive officer Datuk Basheer Hassan Abdul Kadir said.
