Champion ocean racer Mike ‘Moose’ Sanderson has joined forces with Volvo Ocean Race CEO Glenn Bourke to provide a formidable antipodean challenge in a new event which forms a prelude to Cowes Week on Friday.
The winning helms of 27 of the most competitive classes of Cowes Week 2006 will race against each other in a special one-day, three-race ‘King of Cowes’ regatta, sailing Laser SB3s, which are lent by their owners who also form part of the crew. Each skipper draws lots for his boat.
