The city issued permits to the Jacksonville Port Authority for construction of the Dames Point Container Terminal, which will accommodate the Japanese shipping company, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Ltd. (MOL). Tokyo-based MOL is part of the MOL Group, a global multimodal transport service that operates 777 fleets, including dry bulkers, tankers, liquefied natural gas carriers, car carriers, container ships, logistics, and ferry and domestic transport, according to its Web site.
