A cargo volume of 48,873 tonnes comprising 33,267 tonnes of import and 15,606 tonnes of export cargo was handled at the Port Qasim (PQ) during 24 hours ended 0800 hours on Monday.

Brisk Shipping activity was observed at the PQ where four ships scheduled to load and offload containers and chemicals were allotted berths at the Qasim International Container Terminal (QICT) and the Engro Vopak Terminal (EVT) respectively. Departures were also fairly brisk where four ships, two container ships and two bulk cargo carriers sailed out to sea during the same period.
