The president and CEO of Ceres Terminals Inc. says that as global container cargo grows, driven by China, Southeast Asia and India, which have been experiencing double-digit growth in the container business, the Port of Halifax will get its share.
Mr. Simmers was in Halifax on Wednesday for the commissioning of two new super-post-Panamax cranes at the Fairview Cove container terminal, operated by Ceres.
