Vroon Offshore Services acquire offshore utility vessel operator in Italy

We are pleased to announce that Vroon Offshore Services have acquired all shares in SALM (Società Armamento Lavori Marittimi S.R.L.) in Ancona, Italy. SALM is a well-established offshore utility vessel operator, owning five vessels, with one newbuilding on order. All vessels are operated under long-term contracts with clients in the Adriatic and Mediterranean. With the acquisition of SALM, Vroon Offshore is increasing its market presence in Italy and the Mediterranean area, following acquisition of AHTS Keen Express and Kerob Express in July of this year. Management of the SALM fleet will be transferred to Vroon’s office in Genoa at the start of 2008.
