On Friday the 19th of October 2007 the first Management Council Meeting of the Damen Vinashin joint venture took place. Damen Shipyards Group and Vinashin will jointly build a new shipyard in the area, currently engineering is taking place. In the not too distant future the tendering process for the construction of the yard will commence. The completion of the yard is scheduled for the third quarter of 2009.
