In a balmy, sunny ceremony Wednesday on the banks of the Escatawpa River, VT Halter Marine launched the third in a series of four fisheries research ships it’s building for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
The ship will homeport at NOAA’s facilities being rebuilt along the Pascagoula River in Pascagoula, which were destroyed by Katrina.
