Kochi is all set to become one among select port cities of the world to be a stopover for the prestigious Volvo Ocean Race 2008-09.

The Kochi stopover port agreement was signed on Friday by Volvo Ocean Race Director Andy Hindley and Cochin Port Trust Chairman N Ramachandran in the presence of Kerala Minister for Home, Vigilance and Tourism, Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, at a function here.
