Van Oord has been awarded a ten year maintenance dredging contract in the ports of Taranaki, Tauranga and Timaru, New Zealand. The total contract value amounts to some EUR 13 million. Clients are the port authorities of the before mentioned three ports. This contract is an extension of the existing contract and means approximately 15 weeks per year deployment of trailing suction hopper dredger Pelican for the period 2008 – 2017.
