The world’s first fixed dual-beam gantry crane was officially launched at a naming ceremony held at Yantai Raffles Shipyard last Saturday. Named after a famous sacred mountain in China’s Shandong Province, the 20,000-tonne (22,000 tons) Taisun was also presented a certificate by the American Bureau of Shipping for lifting a 20,133-tonne (22,146-ton) launch barge over the weekend, setting a new heavy lift world record.
