Songa Offshore has agreed a US $347 million deal with Odfjell for the lease and management of the Deepsea Trym semisubmersible.
At the same time Odfjell has reached an agreement with StatoilHydro to extend the current contract between the two parties.
The deal secures continued employment for Deepsea Trym for two years plus an optional third year.
The Deepsea Trym is equipped with a 10K Blow Out Preventer system. The company has recently ordered a 15K BOP from Cameron, with expected delivery new year 2010.
