The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has asked BOS data processing (DP) to process seismic data from a 2D survey it is carrying out in the Nordland VII/Troms II area.

BOS DP has been awarded the processing and imaging of the 14,000 km data set as a combined onboard/onshore geophysical workshop.

The processing will take place onboard, while the curved ray Pre-STM and final/residual velocity analysis will take place at a BOS DP office in Norway.

John Ege, VP Data processing said that the resources available to his team would ensure a quick turnaround for NPD.
