WMDT reports that a dredging campaign for parts of the Wicomico River is expected to start next week.
The US Army Corps of Engineers will be removing sediment from the river, and plans to start work two-and-a-half miles downstream from Salisbury and will extend to Upper Ferry.
The Corps of Engineers says the dredging project will improve the ability to navigate on the river.
