StatoilHydro has selected FMC Technologies to supply four new xmas trees plus other subsea hardware for the Ã…sgard field in a US $45 m deal.

FMC, which is already supplying other subsea equipment for the field, has been contracted to deliver four new horizontal subsea production trees, plus wellheads, extended tubing hangers, flow control modules as well as multiphase flow meters and permanent guide bases.

Equipment will be delivered from FMC plants in Kongsberg, Norway, and Dunfermline, Scotland.

“We have manufactured more than 50 trees that have been deployed at the Ã…sgard field and are also in the process of supplying subsea gas compression control systems for the Ã…sgard development,” said Tore Halvorsen, FMC’s senior vice president of global subsea production systems.
