We are sad to report the death of Owen Parker, one of the best known yachtsmen of his generation. Parker was one of Ted Heath’s regular crew on the series of Morning Clouds and recently attended the re-launch of Morning Cloud II, now Opposition, after her restoration by her original builder, Clare Lallow. He wrote about his experiences sailing with Heath in his book ‘Tack Now Skipper’.

Owen Parker, who had been suffering from cancer for several years, was 76. There will be a full obituary in the September issue of Yachting World.
