Fred Olsen subsidiary, Dolphin Drilling Ltd, has entered into a Letter of Intent for the provision of the Borgholm Dolphin semisubmersible in the North Sea.

Dolphin will supply the Borgholm Dolphin accommodation rig for a 12 weeks fixed contract plus options up to an additional eight weeks, in the UK sector.

The contract will follow in direct continuation from the unit`s forthcoming contract with Shell and the estimated value for the fixed period is approximately US $19.3 million.
