Talisman Energy has been given the green light to use the Maersk Giant to drill a new sidetrack in a well in the Varg Sor area. Talisman Energy has been given the green light to use the Maersk Giant to drill a new sidetrack in a well in the Varg Sor area.
The 15/12-17A well will be completed as a gas/condensate producer and it will be tied in to existing subsea facilities on the Rev field.
Production will be routed to the Armada facility on the British Shelf.
Talisman said drilling will start at the end of July 2008 at the earliest and is expected to last for approximately 62 days.
