Following their return from the Clipper 07-08 Round the World Yacht Race, the ten Clipper 68s are about to race each other once more, this time at Skandia Cowes Week.

The boats slipped their moorings on Friday from Royal Clarence Marina, Gosport, where the fleet is based outside of the Clipper Race, and headed across the Solent to Cowes, the Isle of Wight’s premier sailing centre.

In partnership with Ondeck, the Clipper fleet will be raced at Skandia Cowes week by many of the UK’s top industry leaders, including representatives from the worlds of pharmaceuticals, finance, hedge funds and law.

Following Skandia Cowes Week some of these industry leaders will be getting onboard the Clipper 68s once more to compete in the Clipper Industry Series in September. Launched by the Chairman of Clipper Ventures, Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, back in February the Clipper Industry Series has already raised over £65,000 for charity.
