Awilco Offshore has received a Letter of Intent for the use of its WilForce jack-up drilling rig for operations offshore Libya.
The US $36.5 million deal would see the rig drilling two firm wells with the option for one further well. The firm period of the contract is 180 days.
Operations are scheduled to start between mid-December 2008 and early March 2009 and will be in direct continuation of the rig`s present commitment with Repsol Exploration Murzuq, which is also in Libya.
WilForce is equipped for high pressure/ high temperature drilling in water depths up to 375ft.
