A Houston-headquartered geoscientific software company has opened new offices in Moscow following on from customer contacts with Russia’s Rosneft and Lukoil.
SMT – Seismic Micro-Technology- which offers PC-based geoscientific interpretation, launched the new office on the back of selling its Kingdom interpretation software to both Rosneft and Lukoil.
With the new office, headed up by a new country manager, Nikolay Kutsenko, SMT will provide further technical support for its products. The move follows the opening of an SMT office in Calgary this month.
“Our Moscow office improves SMT’s strategic presence in Russia and enables us to more easily support our growing customer base in the region including LUKOIL and Rosneft,” said Ken Gardiner, SMT’s senior vice president for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
