Sweden’s PA Resources hit a new record with its daily output in August, pumping 22,200 bbl on a single day.
Production was boosted in particular by the performance of the Volve field in Norway which delivered record production above the planned field plateau level from two oil producers during the month.
The second water injection well was also completed on the field. Despite the strong performance, however, field production for the total period was reduced due to a planned maintenance shutdown at the gas export receiving platform, the production for the total period was reduced.
Total oil and gas production for the group was 483,200 boe during August 2008. Average oil production per day during August 2008 was 15,600 bbl from the companies seven fields in Tunisia and Norway.
