Privately-owned dredging company Jaisu Shipping is expected to be awarded a contract to deepen the channel at Cochin Port Trust in Kerala, India.

The company is understood to have secured a contract to deepen the channel at the port to 16.5m from 13.8m, and maintain that depth for another 11 months, according to reports in the Indian press.
