Norwegian listed group DDI Holding says it has signed a deal to deploy its new build jack-up rig Deep Driller 7 offshore Thailand.

DDI did not say who the contract with signed with.

The group says the deal is for 3 months, extendable up to 6 months.

The estimated revenue from the contract is $18 million for the firm period.

DDI said in a statement the rig is likely to start mobilising to the location during the second week of September 2008.
