A.P. Moller – Maersk sells its shareholding in Martinair

In relation to publishing the Interim Report 2007, the A.P. Moller – Maersk Group (“A.P. Moller – Maersk”) informed about the intention to sell its 50% shareholding in Martinair Holland N.V. (“Martinair”) to KLM Royal Dutch Airlines N.V. (“KLM”).

Today, the European Commission has approved the sale of A.P. Moller – Maersk’s shareholding to KLM. The sale is effective as per 31 December 2008 at which date KLM will become the sole shareholder of Martinair.
