AMELS, a global leader in the Art of Yacht Building, is pleased to announce the recent sale of the second 65.70-meter LIMITED EDITIONS AMELS 212, already under construction. The yacht has been sold to a repeat AMELS client. The owner is extremely pleased with the LIMITED EDITIONS concept and with his AMELS 171, and wished to upgrade to a model with more room and amenities.

The transaction was handled through OCEAN Independence brokerage. OCEAN Independence’s Swiss-based Management Division, OCEAN Management, acted as client representative for the first build, and will fulfill that role for the larger LIMITED EDITIONS yacht, set for delivery in early 2012.

The LIMITED EDITIONS AMELS 212 was conceived as a “high-volume 65-meter” with an unusual seven-stateroom layout found only on larger yachts. Designed by Tim Heywood over an efficient, seaworthy hull with AMELS naval architecture and engineering, the AMELS 212 will have a classic interior with original styling by Andrew Winch Design.

At the completion of the AMELS 171, UK-based OCEAN Independence Managing Partner and broker, Nicholas Dean, praised AMELS for its high standards and the quality of its craftsmanship and cooperation, and added that is had been a joy to collaborate with AMELS and looks forward to the same success with the 212.

The LIMITED EDITIONS premise is to offer clients a semi-custom design that provides room for personalization, yet allows owners to enter the project and take delivery in much less time than a fully custom-built yacht.

Including the first and second LIMITED EDITIONS AMELS 212s, AMELS now has 11 projects in various stages of construction.
