Oceanco’s new 86m steel hull Y706 arrived at the company’s shipyard in Alblasserdam, The Netherlands, on Saturday 18 March.

Transported by barge in the short distance from Oceanco’s exclusive hull builders Zwijnenburg BV, the Y706 hull was upon its arrival joined with her two-part tri-deck aluminium superstructure with meticulous precision. Following an inclination test, the complete structure was loaded in her finishing bay alongside the 85.5m Y705, which will be Oceanco’s end-2009 delivery.
