A Meka Dredging – Amma Lines Joint Venture (JV) was recently awarded the annual maintanence dredging contract at Cochin Shipyard Ltd, Kochi from 2009 – 2012. The shipyard, which is currently building India’s indigenous aircraft carrier, awarded the consortium the contract after a tender process which involved several dredging contractors participating.
“It is a very prestigious project especially with the construction of the first indigenous Aircraft carrier being constructed at CSL, which is close to every Indian’s heart”, says Dr Meka Vijay Paparao, Chairman of the Meka Group.
