NYK and NileDutch launch Asia-Africa service

Shipping lines NYK and NileDutch are launching a new direct service between Asia, South Africa and west Africa on 17 June. The twice-monthly service will have a rotation of Shanghai, Shekou, Durban, Lome, Tema and Lagos, with two vessels of 2,200teu and 2,700teu.

NYK Europe’s liner division senior trade director Yasunobo Suzuki said: “This new service is being introduced to support the huge inward investment by our Asian customers in west Africa, built upon growing demands of African consumers.”
