Containerships has continued with the integration of recently acquired Contaz by linking the two shortsea shipping lines’ networks and selecting Teesport as its strategic hub for north Europe. UK general manager Charles Patton told IFW the line had launched a new two-ship service from northern Europe to the Mediterranean to link its five north European and Baltic services to Contaz’s Mediterranean service. This meant Containerships could offer its customers transhipment opportunities between the Mediterranean and the Baltics for the first time.
