A week prior to the start of the Zwitserleven Sailing Week on Texel/Netherlands, the organization registered 475 pre-entered cats. In addition, 46 windsurfers qualified for the Worlds Slalom Windsurfing, which is part of the high performance event. The participants represent about twenty countries and all sorts of levels; from recreational sailors to surf stars and multihull professionals. For decades the main focus was on the Round Texel Race itself, whereas the new program becomes more extensive, challenging and longer.
