Ship sets sail for famous race

A ship from Hartlepool is setting sail for the start of the Tall Ships Race 2009 in Poland. The nine-strong crew of the Black Diamond of Durham will be given a send-off from the town’s marina on Thursday. This year’s event, which begins in Gdynia, Poland on 5 July, takes place in the Baltic Sea.
