For today, at least, it was as if last Sunday never happened. There had been no rock, no smash, no sudden stop to a very competitive battle with PUMA for second place. Today seemed to be just another day at the inshore office for Telefonica Blue.

They had already confirmed their position as the kings of the in-port series, taking 22 points from a maximum of 24 for the six races sailed ahead of this session. And today, one week on from their leg nine devastation, they underlined that status with a performance in the seventh that said as much for their resilience as their ability to win yacht races on a short course in not much wind.
