UK-based Solar Solve Marine recently supplied nine Solasafe anti glare roller sunscreens to the UK division of Acergy Chartering, a seabed-to-surface engineering and construction contractor to the offshore oil and gas industry worldwide, for the ‘Acergy Falcon’.
The vessel is an offshore construction vessel capable of installing rigid pipelines, flexible flowlines and umbilicals. The 152-metre vessel, formerly a dynamically positioned drill ship, was purchased by Acergy in 1994 and converted to an offshore construction ship with a flexible flowline and remote subsea module handling capability.
