Six offshore approvals so far

Two offshore oil fields and one incremental oil projects have been approved by the UK government so far this year and three gas fields. Two offshore oil fields and one incremental oil projects have been approved by the UK government so far this year and three gas fields. Latest figures from the UK’s Department of Energy and Climate Change also show two coal bed methane and three coal mine vent projects were given the green light up to the end of last month.

Offshore, Talisman has gained approval so far this year for the Auk North development, in block 30/16 which was authorised in January this year, and for the Bardalino development in block 22/13a which received approval last month.
