The leading Chinese dredging company CCCC Guangzhou Dredging Company (GDC) and IHC Technical Services (IHC TS), part of IHC Merwede, have signed a five-year cooperation agreement for a full service package, namely IHC Life Cycle Support (LCS), for its IHC 7025MP® Cutter Suction Dredger fleet operating in China and abroad. This contract is the first of its kind ever signed in the dredging world. The IHC Merwede programme optimises the maintenance plan resulting in minimisation of the operational costs.

Operational Excellence This full service package includes the development/implementation/continued optimalisation of a tailor-made Maintenance Programme for GDC, including the planning, job cards of specific maintenance tasks and advice on spare parts. Results of the periodic condition surveys, as well as condition monitoring inspections onboard during the operation will be adjusted in this customised Maintenance Programme. In addition, on-site support is available for all the operational locations. IHC TS guarantees the availability of spare parts on a pre-specified list and its prices for the duration of the agreement.

A joint effort Both partners are very proud of their highly skilled employees and they trust them to fine-tune the IHC Life Cycle Support services to add value for both companies. To make the most of the agreed services, joint working teams from GDC and IHC Merwede will be set up to form the foundation of this cooperation. This agreement focuses on developing a long-term relationship, based on a combination of the extensive operational experience of GDC and the in-depth knowledge of IHC TS in the design, manufacturing and production phases. IHC TS also offers full service support over the entire lifecycle of the dredging equipment.

Both IHC TS and GDC have a well-established record and lots of experience in the worldwide dredging market. By combining their joint expertise, IHC TS and GDC will ensure a high level of service, maximising output performance with the minimum operational cost.
