Norwegian shipowner cancels tanker orders

Utkilen, a Norway-based shipowner, has cancelled an order for three 9,500DWT chemical tankers at Italian shipbuilder Cantiere Navale de Poli. Utkilen’s 2009 annual report showed that the contracts were cancelled and that the refund guarantees for yard instalments were put in place.
