With the arrival of the ‘NYK Commodore’ at Shenzhen’s Shekou Container Terminal (SCT) in late June, Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK) and Nile Dutch launched the new SWAX (Asia-West Africa) service, which runs fortnightly between Asia, South Africa and West Africa. Four 2,260TEU vessels will be deployed on the 70-day round trip voyage. NYK and Nile Dutch will provide two vessels each.
