The airport on the Isle of Man is reclaiming land back from the sea as it prepares to make its runways longer. Ronaldsway Airport is shipping sand from the bottom of the Irish Sea to the island in order to fill in a promontory which overlooks the bay. The runways are to be extended so the airport can receive more international long haul flights.
