The ferry which operates between the Isles of Scilly and the UK mainland could be given a new home in Cornwall, it has been revealed. Cornwall Council has admitted Falmouth could be an alternative to Penzance. It follows local opposition to plans for a multimillion-pound redevelopment of Penzance harbour to accommodate a new, larger, Scillonian ferry.
